Privacy Policy
Draft pending legal review. Placeholders [COMPANY_NAME], [CONTACT_EMAIL], [EFFECTIVE_DATE] are set on launch.
Effective date: [EFFECTIVE_DATE]
This Service is operated by an individual operator (not a company), referred to here as "we"/"us". We run an automated video localization service that turns your uploaded or platform-linked video into multilingual versions (AI dubbing + subtitles + a review report). This policy explains what we collect, why, how long we keep it, and your rights. We follow GDPR/CCPA/PIPL-aligned practices; this text is pending final legal review.
A defining feature of this Service is strong data minimization, applied in layers. The most sensitive data — your source video and all intermediate products — are deleted as soon as processing completes and are not stored long-term. The final output (video + subtitles + report) is kept for approximately 7 days so you can download it, after which it is automatically deleted; you can also delete it yourself at any time. See §4 for the full lifecycle.
1. Data we collect
| Category | What | Source |
|---|---|---|
| Uploaded content | Source videos you upload, or videos we retrieve from a platform link you provide, plus filenames | You provide (J1/J2) |
| Processing inputs you enter | Target language, quality tier, voice choice, background-audio mode, glossary terms (brand names, model numbers, e.g. "XC-200") | You enter at /app/new |
| Generated artifacts | Extracted audio, separated vocals/no-vocals tracks, per-segment slices, TTS audio segments, the output MP4, subtitles (SRT/ASS), and the review report (review-report.json, timing-plan.json) | System-generated |
| Voice samples (only if you use voice cloning — beta) | A source voice sample you provide for cloning | You provide; requires your authorization (see §6) |
| Lead / contact data | For the agencies/bulk plan: name, company, email, message you submit via the contact/lead form | You submit at /for-agencies |
| Automatically collected | IP address, device/browser type, pages viewed, job status events, basic logs | Collected automatically |
| Cookies & analytics | See our Cookie Policy; analytics via GA4 / Microsoft Clarity (if enabled) | Collected with consent where required |
We do not intentionally collect special-category/sensitive personal data. Do not upload videos containing others' personal data unless you have the right to do so (see §6 and our Terms).
2. Why we use it (purposes)
- To run the localization pipeline you requested (upload → transcribe → translate → dub → render → review report).
- To let you preview, download, list, and re-run your jobs.
- To flag quality issues honestly via the
completed_needs_reviewstatus and the review report. - To let you re-run or troubleshoot a job: the source is deleted right after processing, so a source-level re-run requires you to re-upload; the output can be reviewed and re-downloaded within the ~7-day retention window (see §4).
- To respond to leads from the agencies plan.
- To secure, debug, and improve the service (aggregated/de-identified where possible).
3. Third-party processors / sub-processors
We share the minimum necessary data with the following, only to provide the service:
| Processor | Purpose | Data shared |
|---|---|---|
| Platform-link resolver (TikHub) | Retrieve a source video from the platform link you paste | The platform URL you provide |
| AI translation providers (Claude / DeepSeek) | Translate transcribed text into the target language | Transcribed text + your glossary |
| TTS / voice providers (MiniMax/Hailuo; open-source CosyVoice worker) | Generate AI dubbing audio | Target-language text, voice/tier selection |
| Object storage (Cloudflare R2 / S3-compatible) | Store source, intermediate, and output artifacts | Your video and generated artifacts |
| Hosting / compute (Cloudflare; GPU worker host, which may be a VPS) | Run the web service and GPU inference | Job data and artifacts |
| Analytics (GA4 / Microsoft Clarity, if enabled) | Usage analytics | See Cookie Policy |
Payment processor [支付处理方] (when paid plans open; e.g. PayPal / a Creem-style merchant-of-record, or a third-party Alipay/WeChat aggregation service settling to a personal account) | Process your payment for a paid plan | The minimum needed for the transaction: amount, plan/order reference, and the identifier the processor needs (e.g. your PayPal/Alipay/WeChat account identifier). Payment is processed on the processor's systems; we do not collect or store your full card number or payment credentials. |
We do not sell your personal data. We are not an "official partner" of any video platform; the platform-link feature only retrieves content you direct us to. Payment is currently disabled (the Service is free); the payment-processor row above describes how things will work once paid plans open — see §3a.
3a. Payment data (when paid plans open) [待03定价/支付]
Payment is not yet enabled. When paid plans open:
- A third party processes your payment. Because the Service is run by an individual operator (not a company), Card / PayPal and merchant-of-record (e.g. Creem) payments are handled by that processor; Alipay / WeChat Pay may be collected via a third-party aggregation service that settles to a personal account, not a company merchant account.
- What we collect: the transaction amount, plan/order reference, payment status, and the account identifier the channel returns so we can match the payment to your account and process refunds.
- What we do not collect: we do not receive or store your full card number, CVV, or bank/wallet login credentials — these stay with the payment processor.
- The processor is an independent controller/processor under its own privacy policy; we encourage you to review it. See Terms §10a and the Refund Policy §0a for invoicing limits and refund routing.
4. Retention & lifecycle (source deleted on completion; output ~7 days)
We practice layered, strong data minimization and do not retain your media long-term. Your source video and intermediate products are deleted as soon as processing completes; the final output is kept for approximately 7 days for you to download and is then automatically deleted (you can also delete it yourself at any time).
| Artifact | Retention |
|---|---|
| Source video (your upload / platform-retrieved source) | Deleted as soon as processing completes; not stored long-term |
| Intermediate products (vocals/no-vocals, slices, TTS segments) | Deleted as soon as processing completes (typically immediately) |
| Output (translated.mp4, subtitles, review-report.json, timing-plan.json) | Kept for approximately 7 days for you to download/re-download, then automatically deleted; you can also delete it yourself at any time |
| Lead/contact data | Kept while we follow up and as required by law, then deleted |
What this means for you — please read:
- Your source is deleted right after processing. The most sensitive data you give us — the original video (which may contain other people's likeness or your commercial material) — is deleted as soon as the job finishes and is not kept. Any source-level re-run therefore requires you to re-upload.
- Download your output within ~7 days. Your output (video, subtitles, report) is kept for approximately 7 days, during which you can download or re-download it, and you may delete it yourself at any time. After ~7 days it is automatically deleted and cannot be recovered — we do not keep a longer backup and cannot restore it afterwards; you would then need to re-upload and run a new job.
- Lead/contact data (from the agencies form) is the only personal data kept beyond this lifecycle, and only for follow-up and as required by law.
You can also request earlier deletion (see §7). This layered auto-deletion (source on completion, output after ~7 days) is a positive data-minimization measure under GDPR/PIPL, but it also means the ~7-day output download window is your responsibility, and the source is not retained.
5. International transfers (cross-border)
Our users include China-based exporters and overseas buyers; our compute (including GPU workers) may run on infrastructure outside your country. This means your data — including uploaded video — may be transferred and processed across borders. Where required (e.g. EU/UK SCCs, PIPL cross-border rules), we rely on appropriate transfer mechanisms. [需法务终审:具体跨境机制与 PIPL 出境申报/标准合同]
6. AI dubbing, voice cloning & content rights
- AI-generated content: Dubbing audio and subtitles are AI-generated (synthetic). We disclose this; do not represent AI output as a human native recording where disclosure is legally required. See §6a for how we label AI-generated output and what metadata that produces.
- Voice cloning (beta): If you use voice cloning, you must be authorized to clone that voice — either it is your own voice, or you have the voice owner's explicit consent. You must not clone a third party's voice without authorization. We require an authorization confirmation before processing a cloned voice. A cloned voice is a form of biometric-derived data; see §6a for additional disclosure obligations that apply to cloned-voice output.
- Content you upload: You must own or have the rights to the video and to any persons, brands, music, or trademarks in it. See our Terms of Service.
6a. AI-generated / synthetic content labelling
The core output of this Service — the dubbed audio track and the localized video — is AI-generated (synthetic) content, and where you use voice cloning it includes a synthetically cloned voice. Several jurisdictions impose labelling and transparency obligations on the provider of synthetic media (not only on the user). We disclose the following:
- Our commitment. Where applicable law requires it, we apply, or will apply, labelling to AI-generated output so that it can be recognized as machine-generated. This is intended to cover both:
- an explicit / human-perceptible label (e.g. a visible or stated indication that the output is AI-generated), and
- an implicit / machine-readable marker carried in the file (e.g. metadata indicating the content is AI-generated).
- Applicable frameworks. This commitment is designed to align with China's *Measures for Labelling AI-Generated and Synthetic Content* (effective 2025-09-01) — which call for both an explicit and an implicit (metadata/watermark) label on AI-generated audio/video — and with EU AI Act Article 50, which requires providers of synthetic audio/image/video to mark output in a machine-readable format and to disclose deepfakes.
- Your obligations. You must not remove, alter, or obscure any AI-generation label or marker we apply to your output, and you must not present labelled AI output as unlabelled or as a genuine human recording where disclosure is required. You remain responsible for any further disclosure required when you publish the output (see Terms §4 and §4a).
- Per-jurisdiction. Because our users include China-based exporters and our target languages include EU-market languages, output may be subject to the labelling rules of more than one jurisdiction. We aim to apply the labelling required for the markets your output is directed at.
7. Your rights
Subject to your jurisdiction (GDPR/CCPA/PIPL and others), you may have the right to access, correct, delete, restrict, port, or object to processing of your personal data, and to withdraw consent. To exercise these rights, contact support@aivideotranslator.co. We aim to respond within the period required by applicable law. You may also lodge a complaint with your local data-protection authority. (Note: because the source and intermediate products are deleted as soon as processing completes and the output is auto-deleted after ~7 days, access/portability requests can only return data that still exists at the time of the request — typically only output still within its ~7-day window.)
8. Children
The service is for business use and not directed to children under 16 (or the age set by your local law). We do not knowingly collect children's data.
9. Security
We use industry-standard safeguards (access controls, encryption in transit, scoped credentials). No method is 100% secure; we do not claim absolute security.
10. Changes & contact
We may update this policy and will post the new effective date. Questions: support@aivideotranslator.co.
